The Difference Between Paleontologists
Because paleontologists have a choise of either studying biology then paleontology, or geology then paleontology; we are getting two kinds of paleontologists. This background has produced some of the disagreements between paleontologists Kenneth Carpenter and Jack Horner. Carpenter is a geology trained paleontologist, and Horner was biology. As a creation paleontologist, I believe that geology is much more important than biology - even though both are important. Jack likes to tell people that he doesn't care how the dinosaurs died, but how they lived. But then there is one more factor, since he is an evolutionist, he only wants to know how they evolved. I want to know how they died. The evolutionist doesn't really want to know, because everything points to catastrophic burial by water and volcanic upheaval on a vast scale, which they would rather ignore. However, in recent years, the evidence has become so overwhelming that it could be ignored no longer. Now scientists are become neo-catastrophists creating new theories of many mass extinctions, to accept the evidence, but explain away the evidence for a worldwide flood. This event was triggered by a comet/asteroid impact, that caused a volcanic catastrophy in recent history which split the crust of the earth open and caused the oceans to rise and cover the continents - called the Genesis Flood. |
