Most of the paleontologic community agrees that since the attack on Larson, and the media smear campaign; dinosaurs are more popular - but new discoveries, collecting of them, and their preservation has decreased.
Museums have gone into high gear promoting evolutionary speculation, advertising it like the latest movie. The big push now is to promote the phoney fact that birds are dinosaurs; making monkeys out of people. The Bible says in Romans 1:22, ".. professing themselves to be wise they became fools."
Most of the wrong conclusions made by scientists can be traced back to predictions based on evolution. Preconceived ideas of evolution cause them to only look for evidence that supports their conclusion, other evidence is ignored or reinterpreted. Then when circumstantial evidence is found it leads to circular reasoning, and wrong conclusions.
In the case of Peter Lason he comments that, "Diccoveries of these creatures (dinosaurs) sparked controversey in ninteenth century minds, most fundamentally because creationism taught that extinct monsters simply could not have existed. Impossibly tons of giant bones matching no known creature had been discovered, and Charles Darwin's Origin of Species tossed out a few possible explantions that could send the public into a quandry." (p. 21).
This may have been true only because dinosaurs were claimed to be millions of yeares old, which contradicts the Bible's account. And creation science had not been created yet. It wasn't until the mid 1900s that some creationists began to become scientists.
The Bible supported the existance of dinosaurs long before the theory of evolution was invented. The Bible says there were giants in those days before the Genesis Flood, and for a period of time after it. It also describes dinosaurs in Job 40 and in other places under the word Tannin, translated dragon most of the time.
Until creation science established that there was microevolution, which caused speciation, most creationists believed that living organisms did not change over time.
Not until it was established that they did change due to adaptation. Which is simply an alternate design in the genetic structure of all living things. This is not evolution. But this is predetermined change within a kind or Family of organisms. It was also confirmed that macroevolution i.e. change from one kind of organism into another presented by Darwin was never observed, and that it is an entirely different from microevolution. These observations supported created design in the genes, or planned change for survival, not random change which leads to extinction through natural selection.
Evolutionists claim that marcoevolution (MA) has been proven through the observation of microevolution (MI). But MI and MA are opposites in every respect.
MA produces new genetic information, it produces unlimited change from one kind of organism to another (cat to dog), it gets something from nothing, and it has never been observed. MI uses preprogramed genetic information, it produces limited change from one kind of the same organism to another (cat to lion), it reproduces a different species of the same organism through biogenetic law, and it has been observed.
Larson says on page 316 that The American Museum of Natural History paleontologist Mark Norell along with Ji Qiang of the Institute of Paleontology and Paleoanthropology in Beijing China presented the discovery of a compsognathid dinosaur which had "proto feathers." Then he went on under the photograph on page 317, "A brand-new feathered theropod that unequivocally links birds to carnivirous dinosaurs." This fossil is shown below.
